I work in the heart of the Connemara Gaeltacht, with the rich cultural heritage of the irish speaking area of rural Connemara.
This deeply traditional area of the West Coast of Ireland, which is beautiful in its isolation and rich culture, offers the most traditional of arts and crafts.
Pottery, textiles, weaving and woodwork reflect the natural environment and the often bleak and hauntingly beautiful landscape of the Western Seaboard of Ireland.
This area is an idyllic location for inspiration, the colours of the Atlantic woven into the rich earthy colours of the Connemara landscape.
This is what I try to capture in the pieces I make.
Each piece is lovingly designed and crafted by hand, using traditional woodworking methods that go back into the midst of time. I hope that you get as much enjoyment from these pieces as I do, and you will enjoy them for generations to come.
